Darksiders Genesis makes no bones about it being designed especially around two-player co-op, but the power sets of both characters are distinct enough that it feels from swapping in single-player between the two like your missing out. The number of the quantity of challenge and enemies may scale based on how many people are playing, but not experiencing the tweaks take away from the gameplay. In what is, in many ways, a buddy cop road trip through the pits of hell both War and Strife develop and grow enough over the campaign that I always found myself flittering between both. With the help of his group at Airship Syndicate, he's jumped in with Darksiders Genesis, which came to consoles soon after its stint on PC for a period. One would think that the video game might lose some of its, ahem, steam being on one platform only for so long. But, surprise, it is still a refreshing hit, and one that fans of both Darksiders and Diablo will wish to indulge in.

Ultimately, Darksiders Genesis feels like the next great step for a sequence that has, until now, often struggled a bit. What might have been thought of as lesser-than by moving the camera from behind to above has in no way had this effect, with Genesis still doing an exceptional job of letting you defeat endless legions of devilish foes as you explore to create your horseman (horsemen, in this instance) better, stronger and more badass. Strife's ranged attacks would have been enough to solidify Genesis as a rollicking twist on the Darksiders format on its own, but how you're able to do so also as War with either in solo or with a friend in co-op is the cherry on top. That's because it doesn't use the normal 3D perspective like other game titles. Genesis is top-down, giving players the chance to play as series favorite War or the newcomer, wise-cracking Strife as they attempt to balance the world for the sake of this Council. That is not as easy as anticipated, so they'll need to travel across a number of landscapes, solving puzzles and carving up enemies as they advance to the story's conclusion, which requires several hours to reach.

So when when you consider to buy ps4 video games, don't miss Darksiders Genesis. Combat and the characters remain fun and exciting to play even after the credits roll. While some enemies can be annoying, combat never gets boring and new items which you earn along the way always make experiences fresh. Amongst the big titles this spring launching, Darksiders Genesis is. While Darksiders Genesis is intended to be a co-op game; it can also be played solo, with players swapping between War and Strife. Of course, it helped that I would be also given more spirits to spend to update my characters by replaying levels. The overarching plot is pretty standard fare and works mostly just to provide the playable pair of characters, War and Strife, reasons to visit a location, kill a big bad demon, collect a magic trinket, turn off a toxin faucet, etc for the duration of its 15-hour effort and compelling New Game(called Apocalyptic difficulty). Darksiders Genesis despite being short does feature some replayability in every chapter found because of the collectables. The soundtrack used in the video game is great and there's a particular track that plays. Props to the sound design team for getting everything right throughout.
