What it didn't get and needed were a tale and repetition. The videogame has increased, but it still has more than adequate space. RAGE 2's singular visible style and genuinely joy gameplay mechanics ultimately outweigh a bit unexciting mission design, a bad narrative and at times flawed technical execution. The best way to describe Borderlands 3 is to claim it is precisely the game you would expect it to be. There are loads of familiar faces, and it has the exact same type of ambiance and atmosphere. People will still keep going into quest after quest for the exact reasons (loot).  While it might be tricky to accept the villains after a great one like Handsome Jack, the twins are fine. Most importantly, the new Vault Hunters work well and the video console game is as entertainment to play by yourself as it is with friends. It works seems, and plays well, and fans of the sequence will be more than thrilled to join the Crimson Raiders.
