It's the best amalgamation of arcade and simulation sensibilities, offering serious competition yet allowing you to have a good deal of fun for first place. After years in the garage Codemasters has returned with GRID, a revival of its popular automobile racing series. The genre has come a long way so does this bring to stand out? Let us take a look.

Race at 12 incredible racing locations in various weather conditions and at various instances. Contend in intense wheel-to-wheel races on circuits that are world-famous city streets, and gorgeous point-topoints, featuring brands hatch, Shanghai, Havana, Indianapolis and more, with routes at every location and period of day and weather conditions. Players can race great modern and classic cars. You can select from a huge collection of vehicle classes. Modern cars such as Ferrari 488 GTE and the Porsche 911 RSR. Classic cars such as the Ford GT40 and pontiac firebird modified are available to drive.

It helps that GRID looks good. Unlike track racers, GRID doesn't know the meaning of the word'sterile'. And there are not any performance hiccups; GRID remains how many cars there are onscreen or joyously smooth whatever the weather. GRID is absolute brilliance. It's only once you dig deeper that its defects become apparent. GRID had made its triumphant return. The GRID series has always pushed the line between arcade fun and serious racer, and this latest incarnation makes that balance to upset. But while GRID has not changed much, I really do stress that the rest of the genre might have pulled off from it in the six years since its last outing.

It may be forgiven for a career mode that on some fronts lacks variety, due to how well realised as it's authentic profound and above all else, a huge amount of fun, the gameplay is. You'll struggle to get a racer that plays better than this. Grid offers exhilarating racing and unmatched atmosphere but the track list that is small means things get old faster than they need to. GRID offers thrilling racing you don't get anywhere else, brilliant, vehicle selection that is educated and graphics. The AI is tops and the Nemesis system is genuinely meaningful. Perfect arcade treatment always from Codemastsers. The drawback is that there is not circuits but with DLC things will change in the future.
